Waxing!!

The other day Brett and Baylee were over and I was waxing their eyebrows and we decided to do our noses as well, It was freaking hilarious. Those are the kind of moments that bring sisters together!! PAIN, TEARS, and LAUGHTER!! (Brett is one on the left, just FYI) :)

Wood GettingTrip 10/2009

This last weekend we had our annual wood getting trip. We went up to Max's property on Cedar Mountain. I'm sad to say that I just couldn't get excited... I was sure we were going to get snowed on and that it was going to be freezing cold. However I was pleasantly surprised that it was absolutely gorgeous weather and we had a great time!! The kids always love to go camping and you can tell by the amount of dirt on their faces. :) It's a lot of work (mostly for the boys, I just watch the kids) but we got plenty of wood to last us through the winter months!

Cutie Girls in the Tub

This may or may not be appropriate... but here they are anyway! Tessa and Sydnee in the tub. This one isn't so bad and I decided not to post the other one of them standing up...

Anyhoo, they fight like sisters and love like sisters. Like I said before, there is a very special bond between these 2 and it's neat to watch it grow and unfold as they get a little older and more aware of whats going on around them!

Love to all! God Bless and be safe!

More Pics of the Birthday Spider Chili

Here are some more pics of the spider "Chili" that Jeff got for Bill. The same one that got out the other day. He's actually pretty big... He's a Chilean Rose Haired Tarantula. If he doesn't give you the "heebeegeebies" I don't know what will! :) Love to all!

Rose Haired Tarantual

So Jeff brought home this spider from a friend of his from work for Bill for his birthday. I mostly don't care because normally it just stays in its cage and Jeff has to be home in order for the kids to play with it.
But as you can see he was out... Not that we even knew he was out!! Bill and Josh were looking for something under the couch cushions and lo and behold... they found Chili, the spider!!It is seriously a little creepy to think that he (or she...) was out and about!! Jeff wasn't even home to put it back. I told the boys to suck it up and get the dang thing back where it belongs. And now the top of the cage is taped shut!

Our Warm Day Outside Adventure

Sorry , I know my posts are out of chronological order... what can I say, my brain is out of chronological order! These pics are from one of the warmer days earlier this summer. The kids love to jump on the tramp with the sprinkler underneath. It was Tessa's first time to jump with the sprinkler. She loves to jump but was unsure about the water part. It took her a little while but she finally decided to enjoy the water part. Now that I'm healing up maybe I will be better at blogging. I might even put up some pics of my "brokeness" (I don't think thats a word but it describes my situation well. We'll see!

TessaLee is such a fun little girl! She's been really good for me since I broke my wrist and ankle. She usually just sits in my chair with me and we read books and watch WAY too much TV.
Bill is such a fair skinned little kid. You should see him now, he look all tan and blond.... such a cute little boy!

Pool Day

It's been such a mild summer that there haven't been too many days that we could swim and not freeze! Last week it finally started to get warm! Here are some pics of the kids swimming in our little above ground pool...

I didn't really want to put the pool up this year because TessaLee is into everything! I just knew she would drown! I make sure the ladder is out of the pool and around the corner, I'm not taking any chances. :) It's nice for the kids, they enjoy being able to swim often and dad is glad not to have to pay for it...

The Crow

So just the other day the kids drug home a crow! Yep that's right, you read correctly...a crow. It was just a baby (although huge) and they said it couldn't fly and was meaner than heck. They found this crow behind one of the barns near our house. They all came back home to get gloves because it was trying to bite them. :) Yet they persevered... Anyhow Bill Daisy and Josh all worked together to catch the little bugger and brought it home. We put it in this little cage with some veggies (they eat raw hamburger, we found this out later...) and a board on top for shade. I know you all think the poor little crow died while under our supervision but you will be happy to know that some how the cage tipped over and he was able to escape into the horse field. Jeff said the 2 roosters were trying to get him but he was way tougher than them. We really don't know what happened to him after that. Hopefully he learned to fly otherwise it probably was a short night for him...

Three Ponds at Snow Canyon Trail Ride

Like a month ago (or something...everything seems to run together these days!) we went down to Snow Canyon State Park and rode the Three Ponds trail down by the sand dunes. It was sooo very busy there that day it was a little crazy getting the horses unloaded and saddled with all the little kids running around.

Mom, Max and Bucky came with us too! When we got there 2 of my 3 welds on my door had broken off. It was a trick to open and then had to strap it to hold it closed to get it home. What an adventure!!

Josh and Daisy rode their own horses and Bill rode with me in the same saddle. I forgot to ask my mom to bring the "buddy saddle." Daisy rode Sonora and Josh rode Banker. The craziest thing is that I rode the stud (who is not a stud horse anymore but we can't get away from calling him that...) and Bill rode with me. This was his FIRST time going anywhere. For the last 9 years he's been in a pen separate from everyone else. We gelded him in February, the horse market is crap right now and no one wants to breed their mares when they can go to the auction and buy a papered baby for $25 and I don't blame them. I thought it might be nice to be able to use "the stud" as a ridin horse. He put in his time as a stud maybe he would like to be a normal horse for a while... ANYHOO... he did GREAT! We all had a ton of fun and got hike around at the ponds.. I don't know why I didn't take pics of actually riding, go figure!
